ADB Supports Construction of Ring Road with $US 176 million
The Asian Development Bank has supported the rehabilitation/construction of various sections of Afghanistan’s Ring Road. ADB’s Board of Directors has just considered a $US 176 million project to complete the last remaining section of the Ring Road.
Mr. Juan Miranda, ADB’s Director General of ADB’s Central and West Asia Regional Department has said: “The Ring Road is the backbone of Afghanistan’s transport network and its completion will be a major milestone in the international nation-building effort”.
Mr. Miranda will give a briefing on the project on Tuesday at 11:00 am at ADB’s Afghanistan Resident Mission.
