ARIA TV announces the start of its second stage of broadcasting

ARIA TV, as an exclusive channel for children and teenagers, proudly announces the start of its second stage of broadcasting by ending its testing on air programs and has the motive of presenting a number of educational programs coated with entertainment aroma favored by kids and youths. ARIA TV, using modern methodologies and approaches, will focus on education, civic education and behavior change. The channel believes that democracy development should move parallel with educational and cultural development and the TV will move forward accordingly.

The statistics from the UN indicates that children and teenagers make the majority in Afghanistan. But this majority of our population faces massive social, environmental and psychological problems. The shocking video of Afghan children playing suicide broadcasted by international visual media agencies reflects how the war psychology has affected our kids and its prevalence in children’s social behaviors that might guide them to a complete brainwash. In addition to that, a long list of immense concerns such as the NDS statement regarding the tactics Taliban and Al Qaeda using to recruit children, and the statement of Germany’s permanent representative to the United Nations and the President of the U.N. Security Council for the month of July, Mr. Peter Wittig, lack of educational opportunities and nonexistence of playgrounds and recreation places for children and teenagers are some of these issues that can be mentioned.
